Ordering a laptop without an OS

If I order a laptop without an OS, what am I in store for? From my experience of building my own desktops it's just been a simple matter of popping in the windows CD, booting from disk and downloading the appropriate drivers from the web. Is there any extra complication with these laptops I should worry about?

It should just be a matter of doing a clean install with your own OS disk then installing the drivers provided,or download them as you said.

Okay, so there's no tricky driver compatibility issues or anything like that. Just wanted to check. Thanks!

There are none. They will install a tester version of Windows (Even if you order without an OS) and you just simply pop in your own copy and install over it, and delete the old folder. PCS provide a disc with all the drivers you'll need.
