Ordering a PC with no OS. Will the BIOS be set to optimal settings?

Hi there,
I'm going to order a new PC without an OS as I have a copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit that I'll be installing myself.

My question is, will the BIOS already be set to the optimal settings for my hardware?

The PC in question will have an SSD as the primary boot drive, and a 2Tb normal HDD for file storage.
I've read a few sites about making sure that certain BIOS settings are correct before installing Windows, and would prefer if PCS could do this before shipping.

Full spec is in the 3rd post on this page:

Just thought I'd check so that I'm prepared.

A trial version of windows will be installed, you would need to do a clean installation of windows 7. The correct settings for your SSD and all the other components should be in place.

Check in bios before installing windows that the sata port for the SSD is set to AHCI,but it probably already is,then do a clean install of windows, instructions are given in the welcome booklet.

Excellent. I don't mind reinstalling Windows and drivers, I've done that many times, but I've always been a bit wary of getting the BIOS settings just right. That and the fact that I've never had an SSD before and the last PC I bought was nearly 5 years ago.

I'm looking forward to upgrading from this Intel Core 2 Quad [email protected] PC with 4 gig ram, ATI Radeon HD3850! New one should hopefully be just a little bit faster...
