Hi all,

I just wanted to see what everyone uses to monitor their CPU, GPU, Mobo, etc temperatures along with fan speeds. I would like to make an informed decision about what to use. Does Asus have something for this purpose?

I use Core Temp for my CPU and GPU-Z for my GPU, don't tend to use them often, mostly if I'm being curious

You could just use nvidias system monitor which will monitor everything even your HDD temps.

depends on what motherboard you get but i know my asus sabretooth has monitoring software with it

All the suggestions seem nice and efficient. What do you think about Speccy from Piriform? I've used it on my laptops before and was happy with it but I'm curious to see what other think about it and how it compares to alternatives.

NMEBowen: My Mobo is the one I listed in my signature. Any ideas about software from Asus?

Also, just to confirm, could someone tell me what the acceptable temperatures are for each component? i.e. What temperature should the CPU, GPU, HDD, Mobo etc now exceed?

Hi all,

As a follow-up to my previous post about safe temperatures, I wanted to post a few screen-shots from Speccy. I'm particularly interested in hearing what you think of the Mobo temperature because I'm somewhat concerned.
Also, I was wondering why the core speed for "Core 1" of the CPU is about half of the others... Is it normal?
Do note that these are after I've been playing BF3 for a little while.

im guessing those temps on your motherboard are for the bridge, all i can suggest is more fans either case fans or get a little antec spot cool fan and point it at your bridge.
