PC specs up for PCVR?

I was wondering if these specs were up for PCVR as I own an oculus quest 2 and would like to try PCVR, I ask this because a friend suggests I will need a better PSU for VR.

(Also I was wondering if upgrading my PSU for an RTX 3070 so then at the time I get the new graphics card I wouldn't need a new PSU at the same time.)

PC specs:
Case
PCS SPECTRUM RGB MID TOWER CASE
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i7 Eight Core Processor i7-10700KF (3.8GHz) 16MB Cache
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME B460-PLUS: ATX, LGA1200, USB 3.2, SATA 6GBs - RGB Ready
Memory (RAM)
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz (4 x 16GB)
Graphics Card
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 - HDMI, DP - VR Ready!
Power Supply
CORSAIR 650W CV SERIES™ CV-650 POWER SUPPLY

A lot of things that could be changed for the better here :) What's your max budget, what monitors are you going to be pairing the PC with, and what type of games are you going to be playing apart from VR games? Are you using the PC for anything else?

My budget is at least under 2 grand, my current screen will be changed at sometime as my current one isn't a monitor its an average tv (the model number is P32RDP0119U), I will be playing lots of games but the ones that stick out are deceit, destiny 2, Minecraft java, phasmophobia, SCP Unity and X-plane 11, Apart from gaming and game developing nothing else. :)

Just to get ball rolling for future 1440p monitor :)

You also have 62gb ram for gaming you need 16gb the ram you selected is also pritty slow
The 850rmx will be good for upgrade paths in future

Ok so I now have 850rmx and 16gb would it be alright if I downgraded to 32gb ram rather than 16gb ram?
Going from 16GB to 32GB would be an upgrade, not a downgrade, and unless you plan to stream, video edit, play heavily modded titles or MSFS you won't really need 32GB. 16GB is the sweetspot for gaming right now and very little titles really need 32GB. It's always something that can be upgraded very easily down the line too.

I mean a downgrade from my current ram, and ok I will use 16gb and upgrade later if it comes to it :)

I see well Ive sorted out most if the mentions and here is my result:

Graphics Card
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 - HDMI, DP - VR Ready!
Power Supply

This still isn't very close to the spec Jamie suggested, you're still on the Intel platform for starters. Intel is a bad idea for many reasons as outlined in this thread and an AMD system would get you much better value for money. Is this a PC you've already ordered? If so, I'd suggest calling up and seeing if you can switch platforms and effectively build up the spec posted above.

You have had some great advice on this thread, particularly in terms of AMD being better than Intel. I can't make you listen to the advice but just to add to it - my work pc is still running fairly decent VR on a 970 gpu but I can't upgrade the gpu because of the psu being crap. My advice is to get a build that allows for continued upgrades, it pays dividends in the long term.
