The one I’m thinking of getting just for gaming purposes:

In your view, is there a big bottleneck, do the parts work well together, should I upgrade / downgrade for better value?

Please note at the moment I have a Intel i7-7700HQ, 1060 (6GB), 16 GB of RAM, and a SSHD 1TB

I think it’s good value (I might be wrong) and I think it’s a significant upgrade? No budget, but would like as cheap as possible, whilst getting a powerful gaming laptop

Thank you in advance!

Michael

Looks really good to me. I'd never buy it, though, because it's a seriously big device (2.6kg and over an inch thick). It's called a desktop replacement for a reason. For me that would put me off entirely. But if you're OK with the size and weight, it looks very good indeed.

Thank you for your reply! My current laptop is about 2.3kg, and is quite thick, so that’s no problem ☺️ Thanks again, I’ll have a think and will keep what you have said in mind

We love you Ukraine
A DTR is not a laptop so has very large power bricks and uses far more power, plus has almost zero battery life.

It will also require maintenance more frequently as will be operating at higher tollerances temps wise so paste degrades quicker.

Hey, it's a pretty good machine !
I'd take the 1 year dead pixel warranty and the gold warranty tought

Oh, and i'd add an other ssd (it's a classical suggestion here)
if you can, add an other 1To ssd, otherwise, chose a 500go primary drive (for the os, your most played games and used software) and a secondary 1to ssd for the rest

To be honest, i'd rather go for the destian, because it's a Clevo chassis (tongfang is not so bad now, but i think clevo is better)
Amd heat less and the destian got one more drive slot if needed

otherwise, my previous advises are still valid, whatever laptop you chose, you should go for 2 ssd and got the 2 warranty

edit : you may want to upgrade your ram for the destian to 32 (2x16) go
