Okay take out the cable from the graphics card.

See the end of the cable has two pins separate from the rest like this :

If you carefully slide the 2 pins against the 6 pins they should slide into a slot and become 8 pins and look like this

im just going to return it, and buy the EVGA GTX 970 it has same 2 6 pin socket like my 680 does. im done. I have tried for 6 hours to get it working.

You have the connector with the 6 and the connector with the 2. In the first image you posted

There is a tab on either side of the connectors so you can slide them together.

Once you get them together hold them both firmly and connect into the 8 connector port.

I can make a video of this tonight when i get home if your still struggling.

Don't return the card, there's nothing wrong with it.

The power connectors are 6+2 pin. All you need to do is connect them together and then push it into the graphics card. A company won't take it back as faulty as it's user error. Go on YouTube and learn this stuff before you attempt it

solved issue, my CPU cant support a 900 series GPU, upto 700 series. so i can go with a 780ti 3 gig.
the 970 needs a UEFI BIOS

Have you still got the GPU ? if so have you actually fitted the plug properly yet ?
