Hi guys

Thinking of buying a PC through pcspecialist as I love the fact you can customise everything... but does anyone know if they reduce their prices in the January sales? Right now they are dirt cheaper than dell / hp etc but come January there will be some big sales in Currys etc so I'm considering waiting till then...

Will pcspecialist also do a sale then though?

Cheers

Quite the opposite, we do not do sales as such, we try to ensure that prices are low throughout the year. As we build custom PC's its not like we have a warehouse full of stuff bought in for christmas to get rid of in January, which is why the January sales happen.

I say the opposite as VAT is set to increase by 2.5% in January, which will raise the cost of each machine.

The PLC groups 'sales' only bring overpriced hardware down to the price it should have been in the first place. Some retailers, including my own place of work, are claiming they'll 'absorb' the VAT increase for consumers but I'm skeptical of any such promise to be honest - can't see how that's going to work at all.

You may notice many retailers "absorbing" the VAT hike, while in reality they are inflating prices well before crimbo and the VAT increase so its hidden.

Meh who cares about the VAT, PCSPECIELIST provide a fantastic service and great customer service and unlike large manufactors they don't rip you off and don't over charge you. PCS tell you what you actually have inside your PC and give you the best price they can oh snap you can select every single item that goes into your pc! and if you have a specific budget and want it for gaming or general stuff they will try and provide you with the best build for your budget and maybe even help you save money!.
Community is really helpful also you will get a respsonce within minutes.
