Processor cooler concern

Where is the best place to get that, from pc specialist?
A Windows 10 license? Only from Microsoft or in your PCS order. Don't trust any other cheaper deal.

Microsoft don't do cheap deals (except for limited educational uses and the like) so you can pretty much guarantee that any cheap deal you see on the Internet isn't legal and even though the key may work now as soon as Microsoft identify its illegality your support will stop.

If it looks too good to be true then it probably is.

I dont think Amazon bother checking to be honest.
You will notice that a lot of them pop up for a while then disappear, If anything it looks like Amazon dont check throughly at the start, and by the time anything going round to check stuff hits the 3rd party vendor, its already gone and another two different ones up instead.

Can I just point out that the Windows on Amazon that was posted, whilst being offered by a 3rd party seller, is actually being fulfilled by Amazon themselves? Which makes you wonder as I can't imagine Amazon would be stocking illegal copies of Windows in their warehouse (well, I would hope not...then again who knows)
Call me a cynic but I think they look the other way. There was a TV programme some weeks ago that highlighted several illegal items on sale via Amazon Marketplace. I think it's important to distinguish between Amazon and Amazon Marketplace. If I'm buying from Amazon I look for products sold by Amazon, not just fulfilled by them.

Looks like I’ll have to edit my order again for this. I wonder whether to get home or pro version now. I was set on home, the only feature that seems to be missing that I’d miss is that you can’t delay windows updates on it

Pro is really for business use (it supports domain controllers for example) and there isn't anything of note in it that a home user needs, not for the increased price anyway.

On current versions you can delay updates exactly the same as on pro.

I'm wondering should I just go for the 3800x over 3700x for £21 more, or the 3800xt which I'm assuming would be more powerful in the long run

The few things I'd been wondering was, should I go for the 3800x / xt or just stick with 3700x. And will the MX-4 paste be better?
Also does anything not look right now?

Paste is fine as that Corsair cooler comes with high-grade paste anyway so you'd be wasting £9

As to the CPU: It depends what your uses are? Sorry, tried looking back through but couldn't find anything
Ok didn't know that I'll stick with standard then
My uses is occasional gaming but mostly I'll just be using the computer for day to day things, hence downgrading from the 3800xt. I just want a computer that will last a good while and not grind to a halt a year down the line!

Well, unless your uses are likely to change, then the XT isn't really worth getting. If I was looking at the 3700x then I'd just spend the extra £21 for the 3800x...gives you the flexibility if your needs change whilst not over-spending. Technically, a gaming machine (unless it's 4k or high-end VR), doesn't need more than a 3600.
I was thinking about that but was put off by much higher tdp in the 3800, whether that should mean anything to me or not

Is the 3800x worth the £21 extra despite the higher tdp? (not sure whether I should be taking note of that or not)

They will both peak fairly similar. The higher TDP is due to the increased base frequency. More frequency = more power. The H100i has you covered entirely though.

I’m just looking at my case dimensions https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/define/define-7-compact/black/ and coolers again.

It says top radiator up to 240mm so the Corsair H100i is a tight fit as I believe that’s 240mm

I initially wanted the noctua fan which was also a very tight fit but in the height (169mm allowed and the noctua is 165mm) but apparently is quieter

Given this what is suggested? My build date is supposed to be tomorrow so I’m leaving it late to sort out the last decision

Let PCS worry about fitting the cooler. The H100i is going to be better at keeping the boost clocks going than the Noctua.

I honestly wouldn't recommend air at all nowadays.
