I dunno I find this game a little dissapointing. They talk about all these cool features as if theyve never been done before.

Loads of weapons new to each area: Borderlands
Cool knife blade thing: Bops with the tomahawk
Economy: Borderlands, Bops aswell as many others

I think it might be a fun game but tbh I dont think its going to be anything special, graphically it doesnt look amazing.

Im just hoping they do a better job of doom 4.

I wonder if any reviews will come out before the release date? I hope so as I really want this game to be decent, but something in my gutt is telling me otherwise!

There is a positive review on Gamespot from an end user, so lets hope these issues are like the issues that seem to plague the Steam forums on certain games; just over exxagerated! Of course some people will have been trying to play the game with old tech etc and if it doesnt work on their pc will moan obviously. You would have thought they would be able to get the pc textures/engine sorted as this is where the developers roots lie.

What is interesting; and not a feature i particularly like the sound of, is the auto-config of the graphics settings for pc users. We like to tweak our games, and from what i have seen of certain games auto-config methods, they are very inaccurate. Maybe this is the problem. With the engine its running on I just hope they dont encrypt the config files so we can tweak them anyway. Once the modders get their hands on it, it will be ok im sure.

Does look very good art style wise and graphically on the xbox 360 so yes...should look even better on our machines! :)

Console reviews have been good. 8.5 from IGN and a 9.0 from Gameinformer. Shame to hear about the PC issues though, will delay my purchase for a bit...

Ive got a copy pre-loaded on steam to have a go on friday (First game to test out my new PC) ill get back here when ive had a go and report back :)

All of the reviews are 8+, but with the complaints being circulated all over the net I;m staying clear. Expect a big patch sometime after release if it's as bad as quite a few people have said.

Will be picking it up but definitely gonna give it a few weeks now.

So, I've been playing RAGE since it was released yesterday, and completed it already. It's an awesome game, aestetically and general gameplay wise (enemies are diverse, large amount of weapons and gadgets, though my favourite part of the game was most definately the vehicle bits. HOWEVER, it was very short and had a lackluster 'sequel-bait' ending. It's a good game, but I'd say wait a bit for the price to come down.

Aye ive started playing it today since they fixed the graphics problems in a patch. Really enjoying it! The vehicle parts make it stand out a bit more than just being a generic FPS and gives you something to do other than killing bandits/mutants/authority. Defo gonna give it a run through this week, 2 hours in though, enjoying it!
