Ram Question

Hi,
sorry to post a thread just for this question but im building a gaming rig for about £1000 and im wondering whether to get 4Gb or 8Gb of ram (1333Mhz). im hoping to have a system that will be able to play top-end games but also be able to download files/convert video files simultaneously, multitasking basically.
im not tech-savvy to i really dont know how much difference this will make to the processing capabilities of the machine, any? none?

For gaming 4 is enough, if you want to do video editing etc then 8 wont hurt

its not editing as such, just dowload and conversion i.e Mkv to Avi or whatever, its nothing too intensive, im just wondering if i'll see a big difference in speed/stability while mutlitasking?

Not a massive amount, the option of starting with 4 and upping if needed is always there.
