hi dude, gutted its not worked out so far. You will get advice on here from the many users, but the forums are not the official channel for support. So best to call pcs to discuss your problem further, if you think you need a RMA call sooner rather than later.

When you say it wont work, in what way? could you be a little more specific,

well essentially the original problem was my cpu hitting 90+ degrees.

so they sent me a new coolit....which I installed and should be cooling (all be it with no instructions to follow) but my cpu still hits 90+..

could this be the cpu?

hmmmm it could be that the cpu is not seated correctly.

Is the coolit fan working? Can you hear/see it speeding up/slowing down?

The fan spins up fine the bios (if I manage to get there) says its at 4000+ rpm

Taking it to a local pc engenieer who can properly have a look and check everything without damaging it at all

Is the pc from pcs? IF So DO NOT take it to a local engineer.

Have you connected up the 120mm fan on the coolit to the motherboard, it needs to go in to the "cpu_fan" header

Have you tried called the PCS support line, they will be able to suggest a few things to check and walk you through stuff if there's anything you can do to try and find/fix the problem.

It's all very well them talking me through it all on the phone but it's too expensive and a hassle for me to send my pc all the way back to them. As far as I am conserned they should have call out engineers for this sort of problem.

And yes its all connected.

Used to think the service was quite good. Now I'm not so sure....

If they were to have a call out service, it would cost a fortune. A engineer would need to travel across the UK to where ever the customer is, (could take any number of hours travelling) then diagnose the fault to find it needs to be returned to pcs for a RMA, then have to drive all the way back to Holmfirth.

Take a photo of the coolit eco, then we can check if everything is plugged in the right places. a local pc repair shop may not have seen a liquid cooler before, Its probably unlikely that the shop comes in contact with high end machines regularly. what's to say if he makes it worse? then ya warranty is gone.

He has an almost identical build. And tbh. I think the warranty would be in worse hands with me trying to fix it over the phone than someone who knows what to do with the part and also I can talk to physically.

I understand what ya mean dude, I'd atleast try a phonecall to pcs though, it may only a take a few minutes to diagnose and may save you paying an engineer.

Yes that would be ideal. However its not the service you paid for when ordering. If this service was available then the cost of your pc in order for us to maintain a network of call out engineers would be much higher.
It is always unfortunate when something goes wrong, and we will put it right in this case, but be aware of what you are ordering and what services and warranty are included when ordering. If it was essential that you needed a business critical machine which need on-site support in the event of failures etc then you should have ensured this was avaiable when ordering, and if not then looked around elsewhere for a supplier that provided this.
It is no good coming here after the event, and saying we should [provie this and that when it is not the service you ordered and we made clear what this was at the point of ordering.
