Not sure you can just return it if it's a bespoke item i.e. customised/personalised in any way.
I believe you can, but it will cost you the £36 admin fee and must be within 7 days of receipt - it's mentioned in the T&C's under cancellations. Not sure you can just return it if it's a bespoke item i.e. customised/personalised in any way.
I'm sure the distance selling regulations say anything that has been tailor made to the buyers specification are exempt from the 7 day return law...which would make PCS policy above and beyond their legal requirements. Although what would they then do with the returned unwanted laptop ?, presumably the parts would be re-used.
the supply of goods made to the consumer’s own specification
such as custom-made blinds or curtains. But this exception does
not apply to upgrade options such as choosing alloy wheels when
buying a car; or opting for add-on memory or choosing a
combination of standard-off-the shelf components when ordering
a PC, for example
It would be better to 'opt out' rather than have to 'opt in'.
Well I've just ordered my first laptop from PCS and I saw the dead pixel option and opted for the years warranty, I spent over 1k, a few extra quid wasn't that much of an issue.
Did they offer dead pixel warranty?I had a dead pixel on my last laptop bought elsewhere, fortunately it was in the upper right corner and hardly ever noticed but there's always the risk of getting one close to central which would be a lot more annoying.
.
Did they offer dead pixel warranty?
I can only go by what I was told. Thankfully I did record the conversation so if if it is ok with the admins of the page I will post the video to let everyone hear it for themselves. I will await a reply before I post it either way.
