Just got a message about my PSU as well. What are you going to do?
I got one of those PSU emails too. I ordered a month ago on the basis that I'd probably get a delivery date some time in December. Nothing's really changed in that sense, so I'll be sticking with the 850W and will hopefully still get a delivery date before Christmas.

Got my 3080 today, but as with most folks here, now stuck on the 850 PSU.
Changed to 750 will see how it goes.

My order date is 17th 14:08, and I think their queue is accurate cause last week I saw one getting their at 14:06.

Btw I have been trying to call them but the line is dead/telling me it is busy? Anyone getting the same? Thanks for letting me know!

I asked them on the webchat and all the other components for my build are in stock at the moment, except for the 3080.

I amended the PSU to: CORSAIR 1000W AX SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® TITANIUM
It seems like it's a good future-proof option.

No, from PC specialist. I got the email that everything is now ready, except the PSU.
My order was on 17th 14:08, which means they are indeed respecting order date and time, as last week another fella got it and they ordered at 14:06, so one week difference there.

I think you made the correct choice to amend it, in a previous chat I had with them the confirmed that only the 3080 was not there, but everything else was in stock. As the 850 was out of stock for a while, I asked specifically if that one was in stock for my order and back then they said yes.

If I get them on the phone, will let you know.


Edit: they are back on... 29 in the queue so I guess I ll watch a movie...🤣

Given the number of people getting these PSU emails (not to mention the number who aren't posting on the forum), I suspect (and by suspect I mean I am guessing and have zero knowledge on the matter) that it doesn't mean all these people have a 3080 but merely they are being pre-emptive....change the PSU now so that, if the 3080 comes in before the end of November, it can go straight into build rather than waiting for a user to say yes or no to a PSU change then.

As said, I could be completely wrong and they have had a significant number of 3080s delivered...in which case I will be happy to have been proved wrong and glad people are getting their new systems

As per the order dates of folks getting this so far, I think it should be only the PSU atm, but will check and update!

The 850 stock situation was like this since last month, I think I remember some other people getting stuck on this part, which was why I called them back then too.

The email is as:

Now I'm doubly confused as the 850w is showing as in stock on the configurator and no OOS message shows up when you proceed :unsure:
Again it could be that they are expecting the queue to move faster than the 850 stock?
It doesn't make sense otherwise... it could also simply be an automated email as they are quite known for those.

I ordered mine with a 750 RMX
3600AMD and 3080 GPU. When ordering it stated there was sufficient headroom (640w?) - should I be changing my order. I ordered 17-Oct. So I suspect I won't see it this year..... What does 'pushing it hard' actually mean? Is that if I play 4k for 12hours straight. Or just for an hour? Play games with a million chrome tabs open? :) Tech noob

So if you got the email but you made the order late, it may be better to just wait. If you made it early, mb swapping it would solve the potential issue of getting stuck on the PSU. As per them, 750 is more than enough and it is in stock.

Pushing it too hard with regards to this setting would usually point to overclocking and maybe if you are using an Intel cpu, as these tend to suck more power than amd.

That was quite 😥 , combination of the automatic email and supplies...

To be honest I'm getting rather fed up with the whole thing, I bought this pc to future proof myself, personally financed it and have a new monitor sitting in the box waiting for this to turn up (installing it for my current rig is pointless).
At this stage I'm seriously considering reducing my build to a lesser graphics card and just telling them to proceed with it; I was hoping to swap to the new AMD Cpu on Thursday but I bet their stock levels are going to be terrible on that too.

So frustrating.

It is frustrating, but i would say stick with it and ride it out, will be worth it when the beast finally arrives!!

Get ready to be on-hold for well over an hour in that case. I tried calling just now, just get the line is busy message! Oh well. Today was always going to be busy for them in light of the news over the weekend.

Hi, this is my first message here, but I was checking this forum daily for the last 3 weeks. Got off the phone with them as I had the same power supply email as most of you, had it changed from a 850w to a 750w; as with the 3080, I am still waiting on that like everyone else...
