SATA Cables

Morning Gents,

Planning on sticking in another HDD in my rig, however Thought I should check something.

The only SATA cable I have in the house currently is a FOXCONN Sata Cable that was in one of my older rigs with a foxconn mobo I think?

So my question is, Can I use the foxconn sata cable to connect the Caviar Black I plan on putting in my rig even thought I now have an ASUS Motherboard?

EDIT: I say older rig but the cable is still SATA III 6Gbps capable.

Don't see why not,it has the same connections far as I know.

If you are buying a caviar black I would assume it should come with a SATA cable.

Nope no cable just the usual HDD and the anti static bag, but If it should work with that cable then I'll give it a bash
