I've been confronted with a website after paying by credit card at "https://www.securesuite.co.uk/rbs/tdsecure/opt_in.jsp"

Is this legitimate? At first I thought it was just like another requirement, entered the details and it told me they were wrong, though I didn't check the details. I then realised I didn't have to opt into it. I'm quite worried about this now, is it legitimate?

It wasn't verification, it was asking me If I wanted to opt into an additional security layer. I entered the details, which I think I may have mistyped, and it told me they were incorrect. I then realised it was something you could choose to opt in to, selected Not Now, and it sent me back to pcspecialist with the payment confirmed. It seems very fishy to me, and this whole asking people for details then saving them and saying they are incorrect is the typical phishing style. People seem to say its ok but it just seems really dodgy

I was redirected to this after clicking to pay on this website, surely somebody can confirm its legitimacy who may have used the service before? I am now extremely worried

Securesuite is just used as the processor for Verified by Visa. I signed up for a while ago but in all honesty I think it's pointless as it is only an optional layer of security that makes no difference if the website doesn't use it.

Its legit, it is optional, however once active its no longer optional, so if the website uses it then it is an effective extra security layer.

By what it looks like it seems it is like a optional layer of security. If you want uber protection it can be used. If not its fine. I think its random spot checks on high value payments? Could be abit of a scare for bad people! Don't worry about it, its all legit and fine. If you have any other worries just contact PCS, they'll clear it all up :)

You may just have entered incorrect information, more than likley this is the issue since as you say, you didnt check the details.

Thanks guys, the help is much appreciated, probably entered the email slightly wrong and it does appear to be legit, most sources say. Thanks again :D

I have received one from PayPal at securesuite etc. or to tell the truth , ten , warning about unusual activity with my PayPal account.
They invite me to confirm account details via a link posted from within the email.
Do not touch this type of offer with a barge pole, as this is typical of phishing activity.
A bona fidelity outfit would never ask you to confirm details in this way, nor would it send so many emails at once.
If in doubt, use your usual method to access your account and check details that way!
