i have owned a desktop but figure its about time i went portable...
i have found this guide online http://www.gadgetheaven.co.uk/buying-guides/laptop-buying-guide/ but im wary of putting too much faith in these things as you never know who's paying their wage to do you??!!
but going it alone is just too hard, all the words are too complicated http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Computers,Laptop-computers,Laptops and there seem to be about 4000 laptops on the market... where do i start?! i know this seems totally ridiculous but i get confused with all the technological words and i would really just like a helping hand.
i dont need an overly swanky machine: i will be using it for home use, that is working from home occasionally, personal use (facebook, email etc etc) and photo storage, writing (i keep a diary but on a computer not in a notebook) and i think really that is all, oh and of course itunes/music etc, maybe the odd film or tV show. so i will need a fair bit of memory most importantly, i wouldnt mind a built in webcam, wifi enabled, i would also really appreciate having a number keypad on the side like desktops do. i think those are all of my specifications, can anyone help? oh and budget £500 ish i think (although that might be way off i dont know)
