With no overclocking the triple copper heat pipe will be fine, if you can afford an upgrade I would suggest the FX-6350 for around £10 more.

Unless you required the sound to be reduce I would suggest swapping to the standard cooler as in my experience they are better than the super quiets and also cheaper!

thanks i will do this, also i was wondering would it be a good idea instead of the 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, a 500gb WD and a 120 gb ssd? i was thinking this just incase one fails?

An SSD is not essential, if you can increase your budget I would consider upgrading the gpu if it is mainly for gaming rather than adding an SSD.

What would you suggest mate and any idea on the price difference? i only really have about £60 to tinker with.

If it is in pre-production no. I forgot to add that if I were you I wouldn't bother with the additional chassis fans, the case you selected is pretty good and with the components you have chosen I wouldn't expect any heat issues. More fans will create more noise, you could consider the FX-6350 instead than the FX-4170.

Ok good to know thankyou, i will upgrade to the FX-6350 now and take off the extra fan. I will come back with the remaining budget i have to spend :p

Any suggestion on speakers? I do like my BASS! :p

If the rig is mainly for gaming I would put more emphasis on the graphics card, you can always add peripherals later on. I am using the Logitech Z520 but when gaming I just use a headset.

I didn't think I would need much memory, but I have about 400gb of games (a lot of new games take up 20gb + ), 150gb of videos, 15gb music ... It all adds up quickly.

I would say that if you can afford the extra 12 quid then it is worth it for twice as much memory.

Well initially i was thinking 500GB HDD as i have a Laptop also with 500GB but as it's £12 i might aswell get the 1TB :p, as someone said on the film Alien "It's like a condom, I don't need it, but I'd rather not need one and have one then need one and not have one".

Is this two different spec graphics cards or am I missing something? I can't remember seeing this before.
