https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...posting-collaboration-of-helpful-hints.77691/ please have a read hsam especially amd vs intel thread and if you could provide us with what monitor this system will be paired with and a max budget
Monitor - ASUS VG278Q, 27 Inch FHD (1980 x 1080) eSport Gaming monitor, 1 ms, Up to 144Hz
Uses - Just gaming for now no intention or VR or Streaming
Budget - £1500 I think will be enough to get me a good setup for what I require but can move on that amount.

If AMD over Intel what is the equivalent or required CPU for what I am after?

Thanks for the response, I can certainly stretch another £78

So you'd go 3060 over the 3060ti?

What sort of FPS can I expect on Warzone with this setup and will my current monitor fit with the performance of this spec?

What Anti-virus would you suggest?

Cheers,
H

3060 Ti is a 1440p card and is also out of stock, your current monitor will be fine with the 3060 which is a high end 1080p card.

On the anti virus front, just use the inbuilt windows defender

So if I wanted to wait for the 3060ti to be in stock then I would need to upgrade my monitor as well?

Or would you simply recommend that the 3060 & current monitor combo are good enough to run Rust/Warzone/GTA RP to a fairly decent standard?

It's really a question of choice. You can choose either to play at 1080p by sticking to your current monitor and getting the 3060 or to play at 1440p by upgrading the monitor and getting the 3060 Ti (if you can find one). Both are perfectly reasonable options: the latter is a better experience and commensurately more expensive, probably to the tune of £600 or so.

Going for the 1080p option doesn't preclude you from going for 1440p in the future: you would just need to upgrade your monitor and graphics card; the rest of the system will work just fine for it.

Thanks think I will go with the 3060 @ 1080 to get me started on PC and upgrade in the future if I want to make the next step up.

What was the USB card change that you mentioned earlier?

And also what Keyboard, Mouse and Headset would you recommend for a first timer to PC gaming?

That's a really odd Heath Robinson spec

As in imbalanced?
Mary Shelley would have been proud of that (she wrote frankenstien)

its got a lower grade processor with internal graphics on it, then further on down they've chucked in a 3060 to try and drag you in, low wattage power supply that will be constantly running its fan

Only one storage drive and that's the spec of what i specced as the secondary in my build

Ok thanks for the help, you guys are a way more experienced in this than me hence asking the questions but I really appreciate the advice and will be going with the spec that you built Martin.

Could you please recommend a headset, mouse and keyboard that would accompany this?

Many thanks for all your help.

This is a very broad subject, they all come in at anywhere from £10 to £250+, i would just choose ones you like the look of and are in your budget from Amazon
