Should I consider getting a wireless router/ethernet? Ethernet might not be possible though.

Ethernet already comes with a motherboard, but if you'll need wifi, then you just pick a Wireless Network Card Wireless Intel Wifi AX200 which also comes with a Bluetooth.

Cheers. So would it be (at all necessary) getting an aftermarket cooler or ultimately useless, if no, suggestions?

Prices have changed so much and there's likely things that we'd spend the money on over a cooler.

Could you give us a refresh of your most recent budget, what you'll be doing with the PC and what monitor you're using (make and model or resolution and refresh rate). Once we've got a build that we're happy with, I'd advise you order it ASAP, this process shouldn't take 2 months.

Apologies. And sure, £1200 very max for the PC, 24 inch 144hz monitor MSI/AOC and I'll be using it for 1080p gaming (because of the monitor) and some general desktop use.

So I'm planning on buying the G241, which has a 1.2 DP slot, would any 1.2 displayport cable be fine? Or is there a specific one you can give me to buy? Because I'd rather use DP over HDMI as most would.
