Hi all,
I have just ordered myself a Vortex II 17" with a 750GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD7500BPKT, SATA 3 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm) HDD.
My question is at a later date will I just be able to buy a SSD (I presume there all the same size, physically I mean) and slot it straight into the 2nd HDD space I didnt fill when I ordered the pc? Or will i need to start buying attachments and things for it to work.

Link to my spec : http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?10833-My-early-birthday-present-to-myself-)

Cheers Jim

Yes just slip the old one out and new one in its as simple as that. Did the same with mine. 2.5" SSD.

Yes you can do exactly what you want to do. Im am doing the exact same thing as soon as my Vortex arives (i.e. ordered with a 500GB HDD and I will be adding a 256GB SSD that is sitting here on my desk as soon as she arrives) :)

Nice Andy

Im mainly gonna get one for windows. I was thinking a 80/120 GB SSD. Can anyone reccommend any. Theres lots available OCZ ones seem to be a reasonable price, but also there seems to be reliabilty issues with them. I suppose SSD's are, "you get what you pay for hardware"
