Technical Difficulties with Main Site

Hi,

I've been having a lot of technical difficulties in the main site which has left me disappointed. A few days back, I built a PC using the main site and saved the quote. I entered my details to register myself in the main site.

However today, I tried to login into the site and I couldn't. I copied and pasted the password I received in my email (without spaces) yet I couldn't login. I tried to recover forgot password and even the new password failed. I cannot login to the site to retrieve my existing quote or get a new quote.

I decided to look for assistance in Live Support. I waited in the queue for many minutes and when it was my turn, I waited and waited but I was not connected to anyone. I finally got the message that the system was still trying to connnect me to someone but if I want to, I can leave a message.

I did send this in an email but I don't know if it was received. So I'm posting it here in the forum hoping it will be recognized.

I would have placed the order yesterday (Friday) if I didn't encounter these problems. Now I'm concerned if I will encounter problems like this when I need customer service. I don't want to have to call in the expensive number for assistance when the live support status showing online should work.

Hope I can get a response to this soon.

When i joined think i had to reset the password a couple of times on mine so just choose the forgot password and log into your e-mails and reset it.

The support line is the best way to get through to them it's a cheap rate number and there is also a link so you can see the waiting times and how busy they are here http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/call-waiting/ also we have just had 2 double bank holidays so their e-mails are going to be backed up for a few days at least to clear them, just so you know i have phoned the support a couple of times they are very helpfull and i was only waiting about 1 minute the first time and the second time about 3 and a half minutes as there was someone else on that line when i phoned so not long really.

Also there customer service i have not seen anything like it as they are on here every day and yes they come on here after working hours and even during the weekend and nothing is hidden so just have a good look around the forums.
 
I did reset the password. I got an automated password in my email. When I tried that, it didn't work. I did that twice. :(

I hesitated to call since I don't have a landline phone (I have a landline only for my broadband) and only mobile. Calling 0845 from mobile is expensive. That's why I opted to check the live support which said it was online but I never got connected to anyone no matter how long I waited.

Will wait for their response here and if they still don't respond, I'll call on Monday and see. :(

I wanted to get this done by now unfortunately I have to wait over the weekend before I can order (since their shipping days are counting working days only).

Yeah i can understand but try the reset again i had to do it a couple of times for some reason.

I am pretty sure they only do the builds monday to friday so even ordering on monday won't make any real difference but if you are really desperate to order they are open in the morning ;)

Oh you said before that you copied and pasted the password just watch that you dont have a space at the end as it does that sometimes.
 
I did. Without spaces. Copied it into a notepad and highlighted only the password contents. Even manually typed it incase password didn't allow to be pasted there. No luck.

Whilst we do occasionally have customers who cannot gain access to the website, it's always been because the email address or password has been typed incorrectly. Whilst I cannot gain access to your password, I have checked your account and it all looks fine from our end.

May I suggest you check the email address you have entered and password and try again? If necessary, we can arrange for a member of our team to call you and you can attempt to login whilst we're on the phone. :)

Like I said, I copied the password without spaces and pasted it there. I've entered the email address manually and double/triple checked it. No luck.

Is it possible to simply delete my registration so that I can re-register with my email address? Maybe then it might work. My 1st registration was done through saving the quote instead of direct registration (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/signup/).

I have reset your password and emailed it to you. Please confirm that you have received your email. Before re-setting it I tested it with a different password and I can confirm that I wable to login successfully.

Received the password and tried it. No luck. Tried it in FireFox and Chrome.

Can you delete my account pls? That would fix this problem and I can try to register newly with my email address instead of having to register with a different email address.
