How very dare dice say no system can run battlefield 3 on max settings. They have obviosly never heard of amd 6990's crossfired or gtx 590's sli'ed?? Who agrees with me?

I bet my imaginary build could run it when it comes out! BTW this thread is meant to be sort of a joke.. xD

The answer to your question wozza is undoubtedly no. You built a workstation computer haha :p you might be lucky to get 10fps out of it with those quadro cards.

EDIT: I love how you have 3D glasses but no 3D cards haha

6gb doesnt make a difference though if the GPUs cant process the information quickly enough.

That system would have been much better had you used the asus maximus and had 3 or 4 3GB GTX 580 :D

If you mean the P8Z68-v pro then quad sli means 4 GPU's not necesserily four cards, so itll mean two dual GPU cards liek the 590's

Even then it would be kinda pointless because on that board dual sli goes to x16/x8 if you drop a 590 onto a x8 slot you give each gpu on the baord x4 which would really slow it down. Would be pretty pointless putting two 590's on a board liek that

Oh right that's a con

I wouldnt say its a con, id say that saying its quad sli shouldnt be assumed to be 4 cards, tri sli however you can assume is 3 cards since cards have to be the same and therefore you couldnt have a 2 GPU and a 1GPU card, you would have to have 3 single GPU cards.

Its a workstation card, its optimised for rendering high precision scenes. Its not optimised for gaming. The Quadro 4000 i believe is actually a 570 in disguise, same architecture different drivers and a component on the board whcih stops you switching between the two drivers.

But yeah basically quadro cards are optimised for programs such as 3Ds Max etc that need extremely precise rendering.
