Thinking of buying an SSD for my laptop...

Hi, would it be possible to transfer the OS to the SSD without erasing everything on my current hard drive? I have a lot of games downloaded and it would be a huge pain in the ass having to download them all again, considering I need to do it after 11pm because that's when I get free downloads.

To transfer the system to a smaller drive,as I assume the SSD will be,you would need something like Acronis,or Paragon Migrate OS to SSD,as windows own back up can't transfer the system to a smaller drive.Some SSD's come supplied with transfer software.If you want to transfer a full image of your system the SSD would of course need to be large enough to take it.

I plan on buying the SSD from PCS, so I'll ask them if their SSD's come supplied with the transfer software.
