Godlike
for your heavy video and photo editing, it will be perfectly fine but for some decent gaming, i would recommend a better graphics card like the GTX560Ti which is an all rounder graphics card.

since you already have an ssd as your first drive, i dont think a raid0 is worth doing. the ssd is for main programs and os while the other drives are used for storage an data and your work etc etc. raid0 isnt much faster much. the caviar black drives on their own are pretty fast already compared to those standard normal ATA drives.

Thanks Teaz ... i thought that Raid of those 2 black caviar did make a substantial difference when compared with the normal 7200 rpm HDDs on their own ...

it would but the caviar blacks on their own along with that much ram is plenty of speed. its just a small marginal difference. the caviar blacks on their own are pretty quick already :)

thanks again ... i appreciate it.
Got another 3 questions if you guys don't mind asking ... i can still change my order but not sure if i will bother these guys with the few changes that i have already made ...
1) Regarding the case and the PSU .... My estimated power req. are 429W and the PSU is for 450W ... will this be an issue should i decide to upgrade graphics card down the road, or add a second DVD writer etc ...?
Regarding the case ... i like it but it only allows me to have 1 front bay for a BLU RAY ....2) will i p**s these guys off if i change it and 3) any recommendation of a good case that can house my specs?
Thanks a lot

If you are thinking about upgrading the GPU I would definitely go for a bigger PSU to save the hassle later on of having to replace the PSU cos the heftier GPUS use more power.

.2) will i p**s these guys off if i change it
Nope and as long as you do it before it goes into building its free of charge to change components (well apart from the difference in cost between whatever you're changeing), you can change as many as you like :)

chaps - change made to a 1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti - 2 DVI,HDMI,VGA - 3D Vision Ready .... 2 questions if anyone !!!
1) Will this card be acceptable for some 3D modelling and CAD - i don't expect it to be the best but will it work decently?
2) Will this card be acceptable for some decent gaming - again, i don't expect it to be the best but will it work decently?

1) Yes, especially if your programs benefit from CUDA
2) Should be able to play BF3 no problem.

guys... i have read dreadful, obscure and nasty reviews about the Vortex 3 SSD drives in a variety of systems, trusting that if the test and QA stages have been performed accordingly, i should not see any issue like those hundreds of people reporting BSOD and freezes, etc with the OCZ drives ... As much as i'd love for my system to work brilliantly, i have to ask a question, shall i have this, what is PC Specialists approach, change the OCZ for a new SSD hard drive? return the faulty drive and replace it with another SSD i.e intel ? or refund for the system, since regardless of what component it may be the cause of this, the system clearly is not working as desired and designed ,... AGAIN, i expect my PC to work but can any of the moderators shed a light in such eventuality ???
Regards
