What would you upgrade on my PC?

Hey guys, I'm looking at upgrading my PC fairly soon, but curious on what to actually do. Out of the pieces below, what would you guys upgrade?


Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i7-2600k Quad Core (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache) + HD Graphics

Memory (RAM)
8GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB)

Graphics Card
2GB AMD RADEON™ HD6950 - 2 DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable (x2 Crossfire Enabled)

Depends what you do with the system, personally it looks quite good to me. Gaming wise perhaps an upgrade to the GPU, but RAM and VCPU should still be coping fine.

Yeah it's for gaming. Any recommendations on gpu's? AMD or nvidia. Not bothered much either way.

R9 280X, GTX 770 would both be significant steps up in performance. Really depends how much you want to spend as Keynes said, I assume your PSU will be fine if you have a 6950 in it before though. (best double check it anyway though)

I would go for the GTX 780, £360 from the upgrade section.

Personally I would be happy with the GTX 780,this card will handle anything and give a massive performance boost in gaming.

Yeah i agree with Manta, keynes and Vanthus. A newer gpu would be your best bet. You will see a massive performance increase going from a AMD 6950 to a Nvidia 770/780.

Awesome card! Needs little power vs 780 and a lot more powerful.

Yes... Anything over 550 would do i reckon.
