Which Gfx card ?

My order is still being processed and I was thinking about my Gfx card.

I went for a 590, but was thinking about this and was wondering if a single 580 ( with upgraded psu for future sli ) or even 2x570 wouldn't be just as good for me.

I'm not planning on using multiple displays but am keen to keep my fps up as high as possible for games such as Crysis 2 etc

Any thoughts very welcome.

Cheers

@ Rich, I also went for the 590 card (2 sli / PC not arrived yet), on the web it seems there are lots of issues with the card at the mo, but Nvidia are bringing out drivers to sort it as fast as they can. (Shogun 2 being one games with mega framerate issues with the 590)

The 590 will last you very nicely, I wouldnt bother going for a 580 at this time and buying a second later.

Thanks guys, +rep , I'll def stick with the 590.

Had read about the issues with them, which is why I kinda had 2nd thoughts, but I can't imagine nvidia allowing their "flagship" to sink and am pretty confident they will do all they can to make them work as intended. Had also read about the cards burning out but that seems to be primarily testers pushing them to and beyond their limits.

Only downside is supply, which I gather is ( or has been ) a problem, but I don't mind waiting as long as needs be to get what i want :D

Ordered last sunday, but with all the bank holidays etc it might take a while, probably my sons system will turn up first...typical, might have to send him to bed early a few nights so I can play on his while I wait !

Don't you need to just try it out to make sure it is fully working for him for a few weeks :p

Yeah thats testers overclocking it by bumping volts back up to around where stock 580s lie and then trying to push teh clocks near to stock 580s :/

No they won't let it sink. It'll be a belting card for years to come.
In recent times Nvidia have done really well with their drivers :)
