I've got to the part where I can import the files, but I still don't know how to do the last bit.

Eh? I didnt :/ The transcoding? Now go to video --> Compressio, chose xvid, set quality to 100 by going into advanced.

Next, file --> save avi file as.... and juts save and it will start transcoding

Badaboom will do this all for you later when Fermi cards are supported Althought if i remember correctly you have a ATI card.

I'm not sure what your original thread was about but if you want to convert a video file and have an AMD graphics card then you can use the video converter in the Catalyst Control Center.
