Wifi Signal Issues

Hmmm...

It's possible they disabled the on board wifi in the BIOS. Or the two NICS are conflicting. The dedicated card is an AX200 and the on board is a newer AX201 variant.

My guess is the two together are so close that the driver is conflicting between cards.

Firstly I would download the on board wifi driver from here so you have it handy:

I would physically remove the AX200, delete the device from control panel including associated software.

Then reboot into BIOS, make sure the on board is enabled, then go and check device manager again.
I’m in the bios where would you see if it’s disabled?

I don’t know if I’m confident enough to actually remove something from my pc tbh 😂 I know it’s probably the only way but I will most likely break something 😂
It's literally just detaching the Bluetooth USB cable, remove the mount screw on the case, release the PCIe lane catch and pulling the card out. Take about 2 minutes.

Computers aren't as scary as people would make you believe, it's literally like giant lego.

I completely disagree....

It takes about 45 seconds...

just obviously turn it off, earth yourself (touch the metal frame of the case) and avoid touching other parts inside unintentially.
How did you get on?

I didn’t bother attempting, would this all go away if I just bought an Ethernet cable honestly I’ll just buy one and wire it @SpyderTracks

Possibly... but without troubleshooting it all it isnt 100% guaranteed and you also dont know your connection specific...you could just have a low speed connection and an awful old router...

Trying to switch across to the other WiFi was a way of checking that out, see if it made a difference.

It’s definitely not low speed and it’s the virgin media hub 3 fibre package I highly doubt it’s my actual internet because everything else is perfectly fine

Well knowing its a hub 3 is new info...
That thing should be alright with a goodd number of devices on, the previous hob (2.0) however wasnt.... had to deal with one of those myself for years.

I would expect a LAN cable to sidestep the issues then, but personally I would want to find out why there were issues to start with.... but thats your call to make.

Okay that’s perfect then because I was so excited for this and don’t get me wrong when it’s worked fine for a couple hours it’s a brilliant system but this issue is annoying, but yea I’ve ordered a cat6 Ethernet cable and hopefully it should sort the issue I mean I was planning to go wired anyway but just pushed me towards it. I will drop Pcspecialist an email though just to see what they think maybe the problem because at this point I’m just curious. Thanks for your help mate appreciate it.

Someone else was having issues with WiFi, and it turned out that it was to do with the splitter that was being used, partly why the motherboard might of been a good option as it would remove the need for a splitter.
Assuming that a similar thing happened when building yours.

Fair enough, but yea I’ll see tomorrow hopefully that the Ethernet cable just solves the issue.

Yea completely forgot to say that the Ethernet cable came and is now working completely fine faster than ever so I have no clue what the problem was.
