That little bit of "ILOVECS:S" in me is still dubious whether an updated CS will be good or not (though I think the "ILOVECS1.6" bit is currently tutting at it for hypocrisy!)

I hope if they cross-platform it they have a tag against names for their platform...just for the giggles

The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC. To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn’t hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play — essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them.

Can anyone testing the beta tell me if its even remotely close to 1.6? I really enjoyed CS (and still do) with it being having to buy weapons and play well in each round to be able to buy good guns in the next round... I used to play CS for Turtle Beach as my sponsor a few years ago, so I played it really hardcore and competitively.

I pray they haven't pandered to the CoD player... Else I wont be buying it

I see counter strike source is 'Like' a fiver on steam at the moment
Hopefully they'll be a public beta of this
