Hi Gyus, finally I have decided after a looong wait to build a proper pc. max budget is 2500 i would be happy if you could amend something what would bring a price down.
I am also not sure about graphic card, I wanted asus strix 3080 but unable to proceed, i cannot also proceed if I choose that I already have a graphic card, maybe because processor hasnt got inboard gpu? My only wrry is how long it would it take before 3080 comes. I dont want to wait 2 motnhs for a rig. Also, regarding a monitor, I was really looking at lenovo Y27q 20-27 inch WLED IPS monitor, its also G sync and 240hz screen. I have a nhs dicsount on it 140£ cheaper. What would you think @SpyderTracks ? Please let me know much appreciated!!

For gaming I would go with this, I changed the motherboard to a suitable X570 TUF as opposed to the STRIXX. The STRIXX isn't required but if you have the extra £ to spare it's worth it if you like the luxury

Changed the RAM to 3200Mhz, there's no difference with regards to gaming between the 3600Mhz and 3200Mhz

I've also changed the case and went for the best CPU cooler available. The 5800X runs extremely hot so I needed a case that could accommodate the CPU coolers size

I've also changed your storage to something that makes sense, 500GB 980 Pro as the operating system drive then a 1TB M2 SSD for your games. I also included a 2TB HDD for general storage

Just a note though the 3080 is massive overkill for 1440p, to make use of the 3080 you really need a monitor like the Samsung G9. These generally are in the range of £800-£1200 each.

You could go for a 3070 and get the highest end 1440p performance though as well as make a massive saving

that was exactly what i was thinking... if its worth the 3080 as a future proof or rather stick with 3070 and 1440p screen, as i wanted something future proof. if id go for 3070 do you think lenovo legion monitor would be a good match ith this combo? i want to play games with minimum 100 fps not sure if 3070 will be able to handle games after few years, maybe 6800xt would be a better option? ive hearded amd cards has a oc potential due to more vram and memory but its ray tracing or fidelity isnt as good as nvidia?
many thanks mate

For monitors, I'm not sure that Lenovo one is worth it. Unless I'm mistaken, it's actually 165Hz, not 240Hz. I'd personally prefer the Asus Tuf VG27AQ, unless your discount is specific to Lenovo (in which case it would admittedly be a bargain). In either case, the 3070 is a better bet than the 3080.

apologize my bad, yep its 165hz, I really wanted an asus you have sent, but I have a discount on lenovo from 499 to 359£ dont know if its worth but it looks like a good monitor including reviews, but i also might have a discount on samusng monitors in that case which one would you recommend? G5? Im going to double check actually, and im going to really think about 3070 now.

Yeah the 3070 is extremely powerful mate it'll handle anything at 1440p for the foreseeable

Also the GPU is the part of the computer you'll probably change the most so there is really no such thing as future proofing a GPU.

I'd say the 3070 would suit you better. The Samsung G7 could also be an option but the ASUS TUF VG27AQ is a fantastic option too

I personally have a G5 and think it's fantastic, I've paired it with a 3060Ti. You could get more from a 3070 though if you wanted a premium monitor like the two I suggested

Again though the G5 was good enough for me

The CPU cooler I suggested will not fit in the 5000 case, that's why I changed the 680x

You really want to connect the GPU to the monitor via Display Port as opposed to HDMI mate, HDMI will eventually be phased out I reckon

I'm honestly not sure about the key it may be tied to the BIOS of the burnt machine? Maybe one of the more technically gifted guys can help with that.

The 5000X will work yes but I don't see it as a selectable option when using the configurator? I figured it was out of stock, I'll list of couple options if you don't like the aesthetics of the 680x. Aesthetics are really important of course, give me quick min

You could go with any of the below and still fit the CPU cooler

Coolermaster Mastercase SL600m
Fractal Define 7
Be Quiet 601
Corsair 5000D

If you'd had the foresight to activate Windows with a digital license tied to your Microsoft ID on your old laptop then yes, you would have been able to activate Windows on a new laptop with that license.

If you had not had the foresight to do that then you cannot use the old OEM license on a new laptop.

Sending in a 5000X is always an option, that's a fantastic case if you have the option to order one and send it in.

I edited my last post with case recommendations

Guys wanted to go with this one, Lenovo Legion Y27q-20 27-inch WLED Gaming Monitor
Its ips panel with billion colors but i dont see response rate anywhere, there is also TN panel model available but I dont want TN anymore. If not ill probably end up with g5 or g7

The Lenovo Legion Y27q-20 27-inch looks to be a 165Hz IPS mate. I can't seem to find the response time though I'll do more digging but it seems like an IPS not a TN

EDIT: Seems like the IPS panel is 6ms but note there is a TN and IPS option available. All discussions seem to point at the IPS being the better of the two
