Hello PCSpecialist Forum First post here :D

I know my fair bit about computers but i would like to know what i could change or even upgrade to have the best preformance possible. Any advice would be appreciated and thoughts about the PC build in general.

The use of the pc will mostly be for Gaming/Streaming. Playing the AAA games such as cyberpunk etc but mostly for Valorant and competitive games. The budget is £1910 and i feel like this is the most i could've done for this type of money but if anyone here has anychanges or things i dont need the extra fans it would be great to hear. I will be purchasing a Monitor which will be 1080p 144hz, If there are any great monitors you can recommend for FPS competitive gaming that would be helpful as well the budget of that would be around £150.

Could you post your FULL spec, including case and config link, as per the instructions in the below post (so that we can optimise without having to start from scratch - although that's probably what we will do anyway, as an AMD build may be better).

You can have a read of this too whilst you're waiting for the Forum Elves to reply...

I would first off not be thinking Intel+Nvidia is the best bet. AMD is probably the value proposition for both.

I'd also be thinking of 1440p, not 1080p. This makes the monitor a little more expensive. But right now the Gigabyte G27Q is only just over £200, and the M27Q under £250; both would be good.

Then you could look at a system like this one:

Case
FRACTAL FOCUS 2 ARGB GAMING CASE (BLACK) Good little case
Processor (CPU)

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.0GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5) The best gaming CPU there is. To save £100ish, the 7700 would be a decent alternative
Motherboard

ASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (AM5, DDR5, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6)
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB) Faster memory
Graphics Card

16GB AMD RADEON™ RX 7800 XT GAMING - HDMI, DP - DX® 12 A good 1440p graphics card - cheaper than the 4070
1st M.2 SSD Drive

512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) Boot drive
1st M.2 SSD Drive

2TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 4125MB/sR, 3325MB/sW) Games drive
Power Supply

CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Plenty of power supply capacity
Power Cable

1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
CORSAIR H100x RGB ELITE HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER A decent and not overly expensive AIO liquid cooler
Thermal Paste

STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
ONBOARD 2.5Gbe LAN PORT
USB/Thunderbolt Options
MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS

Hi! Thanks for the spec and sorry for not posting the link as you were meant to. I love the build you made and i will probably go with it as i read that AMD is incredible for value but i have always had my worries with AMD if it can be trusted, i used to have a laptop with an older Radeon card that would always have massive errors that's why i have trust issues with them but i might give them another chance due to the price of this build being perfect for my budget. Thanks again!

Radeon cards and in particular drivers have come on a long way in the last few years.

That said,a 4070 would be £60 more. If you could spend that it wouldn't be the worst choice in the world, especially if you play games that support DLSS.

It is only £60 more but i might just give the 7800XT a chance as i heard a lot of good reviews about it and the 16gb of VRAM that it has is also tempting
