I am in the same boat mate, I've been in testing since yesterday at 14:48, hoping it goes into dispatch tomorrow as I haven't got any notes on the order to say something has gone wrong in testing so fingers crossed. How long has yours been in testing buddy
Hopefully mate! Can’t wait fingers crossed for the weekend surely I’m hoping it goes into dispatch cover night and gets sent out tomorrow

It’s a real shame I’m working my next four nights from tomorrow night so I’ll need for someone to wait in for the delivery on Friday if it turns up - and I won’t be able to play with it fully yet...roll on Monday when I finish work!
14 days here, not that I’ve got anything to need the computer for. Besides, I’m quite enjoying the game of email roulette I’ve got going on with myself.

Buying a custom pc is just that, custom, meaning it has to be made, global delivers suck at the moment (especially from China/Taiwan) and if you want one next day, great, but guarantee won't be as close to the exact spec you want.
Eg mines cost me just over 2k, for the same I could have got a 10750, and 2070, whereas I have a 10875H and 2070 Super with more ram and disk.
Don't know about you, but I'd rather wait and get what I want, than get it tomorrow and regret it for 18 months.

I also received an email last week regarding lead times, did you? Aside from a global problem with parts etc, I want everyone involved in the production of my PC to be safe and well!! I'll wait longer if it means people are safe from covid-19! We also know people ordering pc's has gone through the roof, we should have ordered in April!! haha
I need this pc for work, but what can I do? It'll come and work will still be there. Until then im working from a £500 laptop!

Know the feeling, I've got my 'chuck it in the bag just in case' laptop at the moment being used as my Omen went pop. Takes 6 times as long to do anything on that than it did on my previous, and gord help me if I need to see if things render correctly, transfer it to my server and test or over to the test servers at the office. Takes forever, but hey, live with it till I get new one built 😁

It just sounds like you don’t quite understand what you’re buying.
2k on a PC is cheap, it’s not extravagant in any way, maybe if you were speccing a batch of custom 100k servers then you could expect some preferential treatment, but what you’re ordering is an everyday item, albeit customised.

Srsly though, what's your before and after process for receiving a new PC?
Get stuff ready to transfer from your old PC, clean the desk and make arrangements to fit etc?
Also, does PCS install any software at all? Im worried about misidentifying bloatware

I never transfer anything over to a new PC, it’s just my way but other people may choose to do it. I personally don’t because I like to have it all clean when I load in and then start organising things neatly, then a few years later it’ll all be cluttered everywhere [emoji23]
I’m just basic, when my new PC gets here i’ll just unplug the old one and replace with the new, I’ve already got a guy who’s bought my current PC from me he’s just waiting for my new one to arrive. Make sure you check inside the new PC though for anything that could be protecting it, you don’t wanna start it up straight away and then get all the packaging stuck in your fans!
PCS just installs Windows (if you select an OS) and the internet browser of your choice, they will be the only things installed

Are you ditching a previous PC or copying stuff across? If you're ditching, then you can just make sure your data is ready on a hard drive and install that to your new PC rather than messing around copying stuff back and forth. If you're copying it across then just make sure it's all ready to transfer.
PCS will only install relevant drivers so windows is configured and any software you selected in the configurator, but other than that it's completely clean, that's one of the huge benefits of PCS. You may have left stuff like the bullguard 30 day trial in in which case I'd uninstall that as it can cause issues, but other than that you should be ready to go.
If it were me, I'd do some stress tests on the CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD to make sure they're all performing as expected, and run some benchmarks to be sure I'm getting the scores I'd expect.

The ones I'd use would be Prime95 for CPU Stress Test, Furmark for GPU Stress Test, Memtest86 for RAM test, CrystalDiskMark for SSD, chkdsk /r for HDD, then I'd use Firestrike and Unigine Valley/Superposition for gaming benchmarks.
Edit: Nearly forgot the most important one, HWMonitor or HWInfo to monitor system temps and fan speeds etc whilst running the above tests.
