Im sure the future will not even come to 8gb just for the OS and games alones so soon. unless you plan to do heavy editing with multimedia programs like photoshop or something similar then its fine with 16gb.
You could swap the wireless cards to a pci versions since they are both the same. It's in both since it will allow people to choose incase they have their slots covered or used. that should save you abit. Other that that it's good. Just when you do ever overclock in future, i would suggest getting a better cpu cooler. Although i dont really think your son's pc even need to be overclocked since this spec will last for years to come as adjustments can be made over time
Dropped the Coolit for Triple Copper, swapped the PCI-E wireless cards for the PCI versions, added Pro mobo to sons and added silver warranty to both and it comes in at £1 over budget I reckon the wife will be ok with that !
Should keep us both going for a few years ( hopefully ) with some scope for upgrading if necessary.
Thanks for all the advice and help all.
Just need to click that buy button now.
Sons ordered anyway, for some reason the payment on credit card won't process, might be something to do with 2 separate £1k+ transactions being made within 5 min lol
Orders finally sorted Would like to thank everyone for their help and advice...couldn't have managed without you guys !

Came in a touch over budget at £2740 mainly due to the 2% cc surcharge, could have paid by debit card but i prefer the added insurance that cc gives, also had a nice discount code for £15 off
Place your bets which will turn up first well thats 2 good specs that will last a long time have fun when you get them and post some pics they love pics on here they even give free rep
If you want to find out how much your spec is predicted to draw, change the PSU to 450W or 350W (Under powered), try to progress to order and it will give you the Wattage needed +20%
Cant give you a particular reason but what has been said before is that PCSpecialist dont handle large quantities of stock so that when an item drops in price they can pass the savings on to you.
You never know... in a few days it could have risen by £40. Its just how it is
Hmmm you edited your post... tut tut
Well youd be best off trusting the power requirements calculated for your individual specification. The info on the card is just a guideline
