Could you paste your full specs from the order page?I'm looking to get some more rendering power/speed and I am wondering whether I can upgrade or would need to completely re-new or replace my 2018 PC Specialist PC.
I'd like to get a RTX 4090 card, and I will be using it with Maya with V-Ray GPU rendering, Photoshop and After Effects. I'd like to be able to use the RTX4090 card alongside my RTX2080Ti for as much rendering power as possible, would it be possible to fit one to my existing setup? I'm not sure if the motherboard can handle the 4090, especially with a 2080Ti.
Current specs are:
Corsair Carbide 330R Mid Tower Case
Asus z170 Pro Gaming
RTX 2080ti
GTX 970 (would be ditched)
Intel i7-6700k
32 GB RAM DDR4 2666mhz
1tb SSD and a few HDDs.
Would I need to replace the motherboard? If so, I imagine then I'd probably have to replace the processor, ram, cooler, etc, and it starts to snowball a bit so I'm not sure if a whole new PC might be the cheaper option!
We'd need the full specs copied from the order page if possible? PCS don't supply that cooler?Corsair Carbide 330R Silent Mid Tower Case - Titanium Edition

Yes, so it's not a PCS system?Sorry, I think you've misunderstood me. That's the specs of the PC I currently own, I want to add a RTX4090 to it. Is that possible?
Without the information we can't help I'm afraid, we'd have no idea if the build was suitable or not.Shall I take my money elsewhere then? That's not very helpful mate. I was looking to either buy an RTX4090 or a new PC from PCS, and that post doesn't help me.
First of all, budget available, monitor (resolution/model) and the purpose of the system as explained in the post linked by @SpyderTracksWhat information to you need?
We can’t advise on non PCS builds, this forum is only for advice on PCS builds, you may want an open forumI've got the budget to either buy just an RTX4090, or to spend about 4k on a system (which that spec above comes to, round-abouts). Ideally I'd like to just buy the RTX4090 card as addition to my current system but I don't know if it'll work (I'm fairly unknowledgeable when it comes to PC specs and building). Does anybody know if it will work with my current system?
Not that it should really matter for this, but I'm running 2 BenQ PD2500Q 2560 x 1440 screens, and as mentioned I'm just looking for some extra GPU rendering speed.
FIY, PCS only sell fully equipped systems; individual components cannot be purchased.Ok no problem, I would of hoped that I was intending to spend either 2k on a GPU or a 4k PCS system with PCS that this forum may of been some use, but never mind, I'll take my money elsewhere. I did infact read your linked thread, and gave all of the details requested in order to get some help but you appear to not be able to either understand my question nor give me a useful answer.
Thanks anyway.
Actually, this isn't an official PCS customer support forum. We are not employed by PCS.Never mind . I'll get a system from overclockers, their customer support is actually useful.
Actually the information was perfectly interpreted. The information you provided did not answer my question, I provided you with the information that you and the forum requested but you were unable to answer my question.I am truly wondering if something has been leaked into the water supply. It seems there is a growing trend of people that don’t know how to read and even when they have can’t interpret basic information.
And as already explained, we can't advise on non-PCS builds, this forum is only for PCS systems which are full systems.Actually the information was perfectly interpreted. The information you provided did not answer my question, I provided you with the information that you and the forum requested but you were unable to answer my question.
I was infact looking for a full PCS build, but wanted to query whether it's possible to upgrade my current system first. Simple as that mate.
