GTX 970 3.5GB Vram Issue (BAD NEWS)

Yes but Police, that's fine. Your 970 clearly had a problem, but this isn't likely to be linked to the VRAM thing. Dodgy GPUs crop up all the time, and PCS can deal with them. This whole thread is about something completely different.

You are quite right that not everyone is a morally devoid muppet, but your particular case isn't about compensation, it is about a potentially faulty part that can be replaced etc. Again, this thread is about people either getting replacements or money back for a perceived issue, and not a faulty bit of kit.

Not sure what my point was really, but just saying that your posts here really do seem to have spilled over from your completely valid thread about a possibly faulty GPU...not really linked at all imo :)

Without knowing exactly what is going on here no one knows, maybe the card is still not compatable with certain systems, maybe the VRAM issue only affects certain PC setups
For the record I have RMA my card and have a new one it is the same as the first one PALiT are on holiday so no responses from them as yet and NVIDIA are in legal mode and not talking to anyone

NVIDIA have now hidden the thread on there website https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/803518/geforce-900-series/gtx-970-3-5gb-vram-issue/364/ it still exists but if you dont have it bookmarked its gone from the main forums https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/155/ really ****ing sad this, the admins also deleted there post offering refunds, I have screenshots that I will be sharing with any legal team that wants them.
At first I was mad then I was dismayed at being lied to, now I'm beginning to hate NVIDIA and im seriously considering never buying anything from them, same for friends and family, I wish I could do more but what can 1 guy do against a multi-million $ company

Ive just come off the phone to PC specialist who said they would accept the return of my GTX970 card, He talked me through filling in the form and advised they would credit the card once sent back.

Trying to get a refund myself it seems some guy who had stutters since day 1 (before the VRAM scandal) has RMAed his 970 and swapped for a 980 now every game that previously sutured works flawlessly, the only thing that has changed is his GPU
