Help Check My Spec Please?

Hey guys!

I would like to know if this spec is any good. I'll be MAINLY playing World of Warcraft and Team Fortress 2 on the higher settings (Maybe highest!), and probably some indie games from Steam. Should I change anything? or stick with this spec? Let me know! My budget is around £700

Thanks! :)

Pretty good build for what you want to do, consider upgrading to a 1TB caviar black HDD
not essential though, & possibly upgrade the CPU cooler a notch to triple copper heatpipe.
also worth getting silver warranty for £5.

Only other 2 things you might want to think about is spending the extra £10 and getting a branded 650W corsair PSU and also going for 8GB of ram but 4GB is perfectly ok for gaming as there are only a few games that make use of a bit more than 4GB and you can always upgrade this at a later date if you need to.

I may consider upgrading my HD to 1TB Caviar Black. What would you recommend upgrading my CPU cooler to? And also I'll upgrade my warranty to silver :)

Yes, I think I should upgrade my PSU to Corsair 650W! I'll only upgrade the RAM to 8GB, if I buy any graphics-intensive PC games in the future.

Hi!
Could anyone check this specification, please?
My only concern is the final price, so is there anythink that could possibly reduce it, without significant effect on system's quality and productivity.
Thank you.

You need to open a new thread. It would also help if you post your budget and intended use.

Hi, I thought that this one would be mpre appropriate to post in.
However I can spend up to 2.600 maximum. My intention is not to build a gaming machine, but up to date configurated PC, based on Intel and NVIDIA solutions..
Monitor is one of the priorities here, as I spend a lot of time behind it.
In the same time I always wanted something quick and reliable in case I want to play, which is rare as I don't have a lot of free time.
So should I start a new thread then?
Thanx.

Yep, under "check this spec". I am still a bit unsure of what your intended use is, you said it is not gaming but if it is for instance browsing the web and using office then you will spend probably a quarter of £2600

I am not very sure how to start a new thread.
However I think that can change the monitor to 23" and processor to quad core one.
This will reduce the price to just under 2.000. What I don't know is how this change will affect the productivity and system's speed.
What I mean is there another option regarding processor?
Thanx

Hey to start a new thread go to the Check my spec section of the forum and click the huge green button saying Post new Thread.

Once you've done that please explain what you will be doing with this PC in more detail because
up to date configurated PC, based on Intel and NVIDIA solutions..
can mean a lot of things :)
