Hey guys, well im thinking of buying a new gaming pc since my last one died :( and the overpriced gaming pc's at pcworld just dont do it for me, so i got recommended to this website by a mate who told me he bought his pc here. he said that he's pc arrived fine and all good, but i just wanna make sure that i can deffenately trust the site of delivering my product without any harms done to it and on time, and that if they didnt what can i do about it? any feed back would be much appreciated. :)

Thanks.

Well firstly you can take my full recommendation...
Also you can read through these forums
There are some shining reviews and also reports of issues
(This will happen with any company but whats worth noting is the effort on PCS's behalf to get the problem sorted. - Lightning responses, Troubleshooting at 1:00AM etc.....)

There is the odd occasion where damage is done in transit but this is down to DHL not PCS and everything is insured so it will be sorted.

But yeah ive had a 100% good experience with them personally and would recommend them to anybody. Im sure others will agree with me on this.

Some independent reviews based entirely on feedback from customers - these are the most up to date ones I could find...

http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.pcspecialist.co.uk - 3040 reviews

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews106007.html - 888 reviews

http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/online-shops/pcspecialist-co-uk/reviews/ - 331 reviews

As you can see, they are overwhelmingly positive. There were a number of bad reviews earlier this year but that was due to a major problem caused by a design fault in Intel's latest hardware - this was a global problem and you'll find that every manufacturer and system builder got the same sort of feedback at that time as they took the brunt of the public's annoyance even though it was totally outside of their control.

On a personal note - I'm on my second PC from PCSpecialist - I bought my first one around 3 years ago and had no hesitation in ordering from them again. I did check prices and recent reviews (I'm not so loyal to any company that I'd throw money at them without checking) and they are competitive and still as highly rated. For the record, my "Moderator" status just means that I help out on the forum - I don't work for the company and my only connection with them is as a paying customer.

If you have any concerns about their integrity - and we are talking about sending hundreds of pounds in advance - use a credit card when you pay even if you have the cash in the bank and pay it off immediately. That will give you a whole load of extra security as the credit card company effectively becomes a party to the contract - check your card issuer's site or terms and conditions for details.

If you have concerns about the quality of the finished product, have a read through the forum. There are always going to be technical problems - especially as some of the systems that PCS build are using the latest products (which can sometimes mean new drivers and teething problems that affect everyone owning those components) and some systems are pre-overclocked which will sometimes require a few tweaks after a period of use.

The big plus point in my mind is these forums - there's constant, well-informed support from PCS and other customers and zero sales-pitch. If someone posts here to ask for advice on chosing a PC within a budget, no-one ever tried to talk them up or punt old products just to get rid of old stock. In fact, if you look through the forum you'll see many examples where prospective buyers have been advised to downgrade their choices because they've over-budgeted for their needs.

I've also rarely seen a company's forum that allows such open discussion of problems and has so much direct input from the company itself. Many such forums either don't allow complaints or they respond to them with an "I've pm'd you" message and everything after that is dealt with in private (or secret - depending on your point of view). The level of positive feedback for their products is impressive but it's the way that so many customers who otherwise have nothing in common go out of their way to post here and show off their computers with pride that really stands out for me - and many of them stick around to chat and help other people. It's quite something.

Some people will get their computers from this company & experience no problems, some people will have big problems, like myself,I'm on to my fourth gpu since october,I've had 2 rmas or Is It 3,not sure & I 'm still not completely happy, this Is the chance you take with a custom built pc no matter where you go.I think I've maybe just been unlucky. What I will say Is, If I ever get another PC I would still probably get It from pcs, mainly because the support you get from these guys
