issues with wireless card

i just moved house and we recently got broadband put in and got a new d link wireless router but for some reason i dont get any internet. The wireless card in my computer picks up the router fine and for the first 2 mins i get internet but after that i get no internet and it says theres no problem, it'll occasionsaly go on and off and but still no internet

any help would be great thanks

This sounds like a router config issue, did you set it up yourself?

What is the router model and the ISP?

hey gorman the ISP is Virgin and the router model is d link dir 615, we set up the router ourselves, all the laptops connect up fine but my computer and wireless card is sturggling to keep a constant connection

are all the laptops using win 7?
I also know it sounds daft, but the number of people who dont connect the aerials is frightening. The little black ones in the welcome box.

yeah both of the ariels are in and i do get a signal to the router i just dont get a connection

edit: not sure if this helps but next to there the aeriels are there are 2 lights but only one of them is lit
