It's time for another purchase

I'm on pc/laptop #3 from PCS in the last 15 years, looking back on my previous posts Oussebon helped me with a gaming laptop, that still today is working a treat.

However it's not quite making Ark ascended run anywhere near over 30 FPS with a lot of the commands to switch off clouds etc to make it run.

Previous purchase was the recoil with a 1660ti in it. Being shoreside based I think it's time for a new desktop.

I have been spending far too many hours scouring through YouTube videos, making builds, comparing on benchmark etc etc and head is frazzled.

My budget including new monitor is £2000, I have my eyes set on the 32" MSI curved 1440 p that's on the PCS site but again will be open to options.

CPU wise I'm lost, i7 13 gen??, Ryzen 7??

Do I need DDR 5 ram or is DDR4 more than capable??

Card wise I would like a 4070 ti but would the 4070 or 4070 super fullfil the needs?

Is the AmD 7600 XT a valid competitor?

SSD wise I'm swinging to Samsung 1tb or 2tb??

Is a HDD suitable as the second means of storage??

Apologies for the large post but as most of you will understand this is something I want to last for at least the next 5 years so want to make sure I get the most sensible components for my money.

Thank you Martin for the links, I have read both before posting.

I haven't a build to share, the monitor I have stated is the MSI 32" 1440p, I have stated my budget, the cards I'm interested in, the usage and the points where I am stuck on, I haven't posted.

"I need a gaming pc make me a build"

But again thank you for the links.

I don't think I can quite get inside budget but this is where I land with the build. The only slight compromise was on the cooler as I would prefer an "i" offering, but the monitor is more important.

The 7700XT is a good card for 1440p 144hz. Anything less would be wasted. I wouldn't opt for 32" though, unless your eyesight isn't sharp. You will have a screen door effect at that resolution/size. 27" is the more standard size with monitors coming in around £250 now for good ones.

Trying to keep the budget from blowing wide open the below looks like decent value.

There are loads of good value offerings just now but they're being snapped up quick.

I posted this one the other day but looks like stock is in short supply

Although Dell do seem to have it right now:

We love you Ukraine
Dell make excellent quality monitors as well just to throw my 2 cents in, might not like them as a company but when it comes to monitors they know what they're doing
I'll third that, Dell monitors use LG panels, and they tend to offer very good quality even at lower prices. The main panel makers are LG and Samsung, I think Dell have an unusual partnership with LG that they get very good prices on the panels and can offer them cheaper than other 3rd party integrators like Asus and others. So they're really high quality while being a lot cheaper.
