I'm on pc/laptop #3 from PCS in the last 15 years, looking back on my previous posts Oussebon helped me with a gaming laptop, that still today is working a treat.
However it's not quite making Ark ascended run anywhere near over 30 FPS with a lot of the commands to switch off clouds etc to make it run.
Previous purchase was the recoil with a 1660ti in it. Being shoreside based I think it's time for a new desktop.
I have been spending far too many hours scouring through YouTube videos, making builds, comparing on benchmark etc etc and head is frazzled.
My budget including new monitor is £2000, I have my eyes set on the 32" MSI curved 1440 p that's on the PCS site but again will be open to options.
CPU wise I'm lost, i7 13 gen??, Ryzen 7??
Do I need DDR 5 ram or is DDR4 more than capable??
Card wise I would like a 4070 ti but would the 4070 or 4070 super fullfil the needs?
Is the AmD 7600 XT a valid competitor?
SSD wise I'm swinging to Samsung 1tb or 2tb??
Is a HDD suitable as the second means of storage??
Apologies for the large post but as most of you will understand this is something I want to last for at least the next 5 years so want to make sure I get the most sensible components for my money.
