Hi please follow the below instructions when posting your spec to the site, we can definitely help but the xmas orders have come and gone mate. You would have no chance unless you bought one of the next day PC's which we generally don't recommend

I thought I had the quote on. I got a PDF through on email rather than a link.

I game on my TV right now. It's a Sony. I will get a monitor but will need to be after Christmas now. Mybe 300 for a monitor?

If I paid extra for express, would I jump the queue?

My friend said the below would smash most games at high FPS. I want to hit 300+ as that seems to be the sweet spot for CSGO. I want max settings and frame rate though and I'm willing to pay a bit extra to get it.

It's not well balanced at all mate, yeah it has a lot of raw power but it's very very old before you've even bought it. the 10900X has been far surpassed these days it's from 3 generations ago paired with slow RAM

Let you know your budget and I'll put something together. If you're looking at £300 for a monitor then we're looking at 1440p 144Hz monitors which means a max of 144FPS.

You could also aim for 1080p 240Hz monitors in that price range instead if it's just competitive gaming we're talking about? Neither would require a 3080Ti though so you're going super overkill there for a card you're not going to use

So if I assume £300 for a monitor and competitive FPS gaming being the primary usage. Let me know your budget and I'll put together a build that is focused on achieving the highest frame rate possible in that budget.

You can't pay to skip the queue at this point though to answer your question, they have made a commitment to get the PC's already ordered before the deadline out for Xmas

Can you still deliver for Christmas?
Was this a next day delivery system or one you configured yourself
If it is not a next-day delivery machine, then no you are about 11 days late to guarantee Christmas delivery - in fact it tells you you wont get it before Christmas on the configuration page

Hi there. As @Steveyg says that spec is anything but ‘1337’, there’s areas that would benefit from significant improvements.

As for frame rates, the overwhelming majority of us can’t actually detect anything over around 120FPS. And even for the 1% that can, 240Hz monitors are enough. Don’t believe the marketing hype. You’re likely to be so much better off with 144Hz, that’s the real sweet spot unless you’re an elite competition gamer.

I was aiming for 2.5k but I ended up going over as I wanted to get the highest GPU for the most amount of frames.

The TV is 4k so would like to have a similar monitor. 120fps sounds very low though. Looking on youtube they often recommend more than 300 to get an edge in gaming.

Intel is the best according to youtube? I went with what was described as extreme on here. Do I need an AMD graphics card if I go with an AMD build? I want a really powerful system to below everyone away. Are there any next day options that would manage 300+ FPS?

I had a look at the AMD options and it seems that I can get it within budget. Not sure on the spec though as the graphics card wouldn't fit in the white case. Is there much difference between the top AMD options and the Intel ones?

FPS doesn't matter mate if your monitor can't display the frames, I think you're getting caught up in Youtube marketing. Youtubers tell you that you need 300FPS so then you go buy the 300FPS monitor they want to sell to you

In fact off the top of my head I can't think of a single monitor that does more than 240Hz which means the maximum frames you'll ever see is 240FPS. There would be literally no difference between 240FPS and 704569FPS on that monitor because it can only display 240 of the frames

The current just release a couple weeks ago Intel CPU currently have the edge right now at this second but AMD have new CPU's due out very soon which will no doubt going by the trends be much better performing not only in gaming but also in power consumption, heat draw and features. As it's been that way for the past 2 or 3 generations

It's important not to get up on Youtube hype because 90% of it is people trying to sell you things.

And no you don't need an AMD GPU if you have an AMD CPU. I'll put something together here best FPS possible for 2.5K

For a 4K monitor by the way you'll need to spend £1000+ to get more than 120Hz or 120FPS

I would wait to see what other specs people come up with , this latest spec of yours would also need multiple changes to balanced I'm afraid (no way you'd need 64GB of RAM for a start) - just try and be a little patient, people will help but you do have to give them time to think :)

Looking on YouTube is no degree of proof when it comes to anything. For competitive gaming, the aim is to turn settings down to their lowest to get every last possible frame available. And this is for people who are winning thousands at tournaments. If you’re at home why put yourself through that? You’d also need to factor in that it’s not just what your eye is perceiving but your own personal reaction times. You’re talking superhuman reflexes, and even they will start to go in a relatively short space of time. Ageing is a wonderful process…

There’s a few interesting articles regarding the whole FPS situation, it’s worth reading them purely from an educational standpoint. Saves any sponsored YouTuber mugging you off with something you don’t need so they can fill their own pockets…

@Steveyg has done you a filthy build and monitor combo, he’s knocking it out of the park today.

I know Steveyg is planning on setting up a build, so ill just input my personal opinion on this build.
As i've already seen another person mention, the 3080ti is completely overkill and isnt worth the extra cost for the few extra frames, id put the money into a newer gen cpu instead.

Same with the Ram, unless you're planning on running servers its far too much, half it and you wont notice a difference. You'll also then be able to use the money you save from that to get much faster ram instead which will help you out a lot more.

and with the money you should have saved from those changes, go with an m.2 ssd. It will help reduce the loading times in games

I mean if it was me personally I wouldn't buy the build I suggested above. There's more to PC's than FPS so I always favour longevity and balance over anything else. This doesn't have to come at the cost of performance but if the only focus is on performance then the build above would be mine.

I may even squeeze a 5900x in there but the motherboard I would want to pair with it isn't available

The 12700K was a option but again I couldn't fit a build with a 3080 in and a 12700K in that budget. In saying that I would probably just go for a 3070Ti anyways due to the uses and monitors we're talking about here but hey it is what it is

And that’s what it’s all about. You’ve provided valuable information and made salient points and even though it might not be your own preference you’ve essentially done exactly what OP has asked for. You get a gold star 🙂👍
