Memory MHZ

Hi all,

My new PC is in pre-production and while I still have a chance to change with no extra cost I have a question about memory.

My PC will be for gaming, one game in particular [Flight Sim X], I don't plan to overclock and I've ordered:

8GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (4 X 2GB)

Would I notice much difference if I changed to:

4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 2GB KIT)

Cheers

Hi, for gaming you will not notice any difference at all. The only time when it would stand out is that 1600 is easier to overclock and can give better results in benchmarks. My vote is stick with the 1333.

Definitely 1333MHz - the memory is very stable and the difference of 1600MHz is minimal :)

They've ordered an AMD so can only have dual channel memory so the Kingston isn't an option. I would stick with the 8GB Samsung 1333MHz, it will be much more stable that the Corsair 1600MHz.
