Hey,

im new to this site as im very confused about what i should do about my question/

well basiclly, i live in the uk and starting college next year doing a btec level 3 computing course which is all about hardware and programs etc.

my mum have told me i can invest into a computer to help with my studies as right now i have a laptop hp dv6 with 4gb but it heats up fast and crashes when loads of things are open.

so im looking for a nice computer with at least 500 gb harddrive and 8gb ram but im unsure weather to go with amd or intel and my limit is around 900 pounds as im paying monthly and limit is £26 a month so could some one please help me find one.

im also looking to play games like portal or minecraft so a 1 gb grpahics card would be helpful too

thanks and i really appreshate help :)

Godlike
for the intel it would be £892

the AMD option is more of a bang for buck for its price.

to be honest with you The AMD build aswel as the Intel build are both good and can't go wrong but for your needs I believe the AMD build will be worth for the price as you will be getting a better GPU and PSU. :)

2 very nice specs there Teaz i don't know which i would choose out of the 2 i have always gone intel and nvidia ftw and the amd processor is only 0.10 GHz faster so not a massive difference but it's a better GPU and better power supply for any future upgrades.

Oops, £870.00, so you could with an extra 40 to 60 quid upgrade the CPU to a X6 or the GPU to a better one with comfortable room on the PSU.
