First off, great service from PCS start to finish. Constantly keeping me up to date on where my PC was at, so a big thanks to them.

The PC itself is amazing! was a breeze setting up and got a sly headshot within 20 secs on BF2 ;) always a good sign haha.

Only snag was the nvidia driver CD did have a chip in it an was unreadable however i just downloaded the drivers from nvidia and all is good. I have emailed PCS just to bring it to light.

Heres the specs:

COOLERMASTER HAF 912 PLUS MID TOWER GAMING CASE

Intel® Core™i7-2600k Quad Core (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache) + HD Graphics

ASUS® P8Z68-V/GEN3: PCI-E 3.0 READY, SLI, CROSSFIREX

8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)

1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti - 2 DVI,HDMI,VGA - 3D Vision Ready

500GB SATA-II 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 16MB CACHE (7,200rpm)

24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM

INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT

600W Quiet 80 PLUS Quad Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan (£59)

TITAN FENRIR EVO EXTREME HEATPIPE CPU COOLER (£39)

Overall I am extremely impressed with the PC and just as impressed with PCS for their amazing customer care.

Will recommend to anyone who is going to be buying a gaming rig.

5 star 10/10

UPDATE*****

okay after a week it's still overheating and PCS are sending me more thermal paste. I ran Prime95 and the CPU shot to 98!!! idling around 40 which is way too high. PCS are dealing with it well and replying to emails and phonecalls, they also had no problem dispatching thermal paste. Will update once/ when problem has been resolved.

yeh check if its wobbling much it should have a bit of movement so it doesnt crush the cpu but shouldnt be swinging an inch each way

Love the pictures :) Like Vanthus and Wozza said, check that the CPU cooler is tightened. It shouldn't have excessive movement. It should be a tight fit against the CPU.

Also, check that the cooler is attached to the mobo. Often if the cooler is loose, it will cool but not as well. If the connection has come loose, it will overheat immediately so check that.

Thank you all for the help. You were correct and I phoned tech support who told me i should try tightening the screws, failing that they're sending thermal paste incase thats the problem and if i dont feel comfortable doing it i can send it back and they'll do it. So happy customer here :)

Okay i have finally sorted the problem, it was the thermal paste. When i took of the Heatsink to clean and replace it, i wasnt impressed with what i found. I will post pics soon.

Let me guess. If it wasnt the cooler being loose, then it wouldnt have been just poorly applied thermal paste. That may account for a few degrees. The temps you were recording could only be somethig like the plastic sticker being left on the base of the cooler. If it was then apologies. The builder in question will be informed of his mistake.

What i think happened has been a combination of the two; the heatsink was loose, however it wasn't the screws at the front of the motherboard, the knurled big ones, it was the screws on the back of the motherboard which were look and I hadn't noticed(this could be due to transport). The thermal paste didn't look like it had been applied to the standard i would have expected, it was over the edges of the processor and across the out metal casing. I'm just very happy now to have it all up and working correctly! :D
