My possible wish PC

Hello people,


I have configured a PC on the website here. Since I have but not really so much idea davo I just wanted to ask what you think so of the compilation?


I'm not sure about some things, some of my questions might seem a bit strange for real professionals, but I really don't know much about PCs.


Hopefully you could answer the following questions for me.


1. does the PC have a wireless internet connection? Is W-LAN already built in or do I have to install an extra W-LAN card?


2. what about the cooling? Is the cooler enough or should I choose another one. Possibly one with water cooling?


3) I want to be able to play games on this PC over 60 FPS in full HD, in very intensive games I am aware that it will not be enough and I am also willing to play some games only on HD if necessary.


4. i checked on a website what the expected FPS is for some games i would like to play, are these figures realistic with this PC?

I have already chosen the monitor and it is available.


The PC should be used as already mentioned almost only for gaming. Rarely also times for streaming (Netflix, AmazonPrime, etc.)

The budget is already pretty much exhausted. Should be between 2000 - max 2150€.

Are you asking for advice on the spec that you have posted or have you already ordered it so it doesnt matter if anyone suggests anything different?

I will leave this to the experts to answer, but from what I have seen on here, the overall recommendation for an Intel is usually along the lines of an AIO cooler rather than just a fan as Intels are known to generate quite a bit of heat

Okay I have adjusted it.

With an AMD Ryzen it would cost 2300€.

But that would be a bit over my budget.

I have only replaced the power supply.

According to the calculation of PCSpecialist a 650 Watt power supply is sufficient.

But I choose 750 Watt.

I have to save just one month longer, but that is the better solution than to accept a worse PC.

It's not sufficient, it's the least you can get away with, but you'd never configure a system that low, you need to account for upgrades and transient spikes

850W is the very minimum and would already restrict higher GPU upgrades, 1200 would be required to accommodate something like a 4090 accounting for transient spikes

This also means that PCSpecialist's calculation is completely wrong and unrealistic, right?

"You have selected a 750W power supply, but based on our calculations you actually only need a 650W power supply. We have calculated your specification to require around 362W of power including a 20% allowance. Although it is not a mandatory requirement to select a lower wattage power supply, doing so will save you money and the last thing we'd like to do is over charge you!"


According to this calculation, a 750 watt power supply should be more than sufficient.

@Valeroen I would go with what @SpyderTracks suggests - as I said, Im still delving into the desktop configuration as an apprentice - having mainly had laptops for the last decade. I recently purchased my desktop system (as seen in my signature).

The only amendment I would make would be the processor to the 7800X3D which is THE gaming processor, price is much the same. The X3D variants have extra VCache which significantly improves gaming. But especially for SIM games, and generally a lot of the newer titles that have had performance issues, including cyberpunk and others, they've all performed far better on X3D variants.

The rest can stay the same, power requirements are equal.
