Day 4 in the pre-production house :sleep1: and all well, resisted the temptation to amend my order or even click on the link. Already added more RAM and gone to Windows Pro. :yawn:

Got Metro 2033 (heard its good) and new headphones ordered.


The average dispatch time has gone up to 13.23% days.

These non working days have been a waste stayed up till midnight Sunday to see my order update to 5 working days lol :taz:

Haha Metro 2033 is a decent game. Can be awkward to get the graphics set up just right but the actual game is brilliant. I've only put about 90 minutes play time into it so I can't comment fully on the game but it's all very dark and jumpy at the moment, I'm hoping it'll brighten up a bit! Definitely worth the £3.75 I got it for.

I'd also recommend Chivalry: Medieval Warfare if you're into medieval stuff. It's basically 32 player CoD with Swords and stuff x)

Working day 5 and straight into testing, whey hey man things are moving.

Getting excited just hope all is good when it arrives. Would they check for dead pixels before delivering? save sending it straight back under dead pixel warranty.

Read before of people getting new system with dead pixels when they have the warranty, thought it be cheaper to check before dispatch.

Ordered mine on the 20th, and I'm on my fourth working day now, still on the processing order stage :(

Did you fast-track the order Wayne? Seems very quick for a standard build.. It should be dispatched either today or tomorrow so you should have it by Wednesday at this rate. Does seem extremely quick for a standard build.

As for the dead pixels, I've only ordered a desktop from PCS but I assume it would have been tested during production for dead pixels and that PCS would not dispatch it if they were not happy with it. You have to remember, the forums have more people complaining on it than people stating positive reviews. That's not an insult to any one at all but obviously if you receive a machine in perfect working order, the chances are you're not gonna write about it. If you receive a machine with a problem, the forums are the first place you'll go so you might have seen 3 negative threads about dead pixels that have worried you but PCS might have built 300 laptops in that time, 297 in perfect working order and the 3 that do have a technical issue are the ones that people speak up about. Normal standard 8-10 working day delivery so very pleased.

Have had a very good experience with PCS to date and would be very happy to recommend to all.

Working day six and now saying dispatched so should be here tomorrow with any luck and arrive all nice and working.

Sure was not expecting such a quick turn around.

Hope you enjoy your new laptop when you get it you will have to let us know what you think of it, I'm On 6th working day now :( Starting to check the Order status hourly hope they have all the parts.

You still on pre-production?

I did send them an email a last week to confirm if all parts were in stock because if it was an HDD or something holding the build up I could change it.

Man, i excited for you. I ordered my Vortex 2 a month before the Vortex 3 came out, wish i'd waited. Love my machine though love picking up a game and knowing that its going to play it on max/ultra. You've got the better GPU than me to i had last years ATI Top the 6990 and it pretty much lauchs off anything except metro 2232 oe whatever its called.

As said in my sig if it's as good a build as my Rock CTX (Clevo M57U??) I will be over the moon.

Yeah still pre production 6th day, I'll wait another few days then email them its a good job in patient. Maybe it's cos I ordered a cheaper laptop ya don't get priority or people have been placing fast track orders in between. No matter as long as its perfect when it gets here and it comes before Xmas, then I would be really cheeses off.

Fairly normal to be honest, I'm very shocked Wayne's has moved so fast without fast track so don't be put off that yours still isn't moving. My desktop only moved from pre-production on 9th working day and was dispatched on the 12th working day (was originally given a 9-11 day estimate so pretty accurate). The waiting is pretty painful though and I imagine PCS are extemely busy with Christmas coming up.
