Yeah thanks for the info I'll start worrying if it's still in pre production past the 9th day. Like I said as long as it gets here before Christmas and everything works perfect and there are no dead pixels ( I took out insurance so there shouldn't be) ill be a happy bunny.

Fairly normal to be honest, I'm very shocked Wayne's has moved so fast without fast track so don't be put off that yours still isn't moving. My desktop only moved from pre-production on 9th working day and was dispatched on the 12th working day (was originally given a 9-11 day estimate so pretty accurate). The waiting is pretty painful though and I imagine PCS are extemely busy with Christmas coming up.

Ive just moved into pre-production today, 3rd working day. But I'm patient in that respect... kind of :p

^ read about other pre-production sob stories on that thread. It is painful waiting but it ends eventually x) One thing to remember is that when signing the t&c's you agreed to the fact it can take up to 30 days to receive your order. This is obviously in very rare circumstances but just a warning before you chirp up saying they didn't meet your 10-12 day estimate or whatever they told you. It's worth keeping an eye on the order charts to see what the average production times are at the moment if you're getting worried.

Aha, oh dear i'll have to take a look. Yeah of course, I really don't mind the time because I am still sorting out my internet connection to my room, keyboard, speakers and so on.

The lead times where 11-12 working days when ordering and still the same now. I can understand if there are problems not having parts etc but they should inform you of this if this is the case and give you the option to swap. I havnt received any emails regarding problems do I'll assume everything is ready to be put together. Maybe there hoping ill up my spec while I'm waiting... But that was the maximum I can afford at the moment so that ain't gonna happen. As long as its here before Christmas I'll be happy if not I'll be cheesed off especially with the order before such a date guaranteed before christmas on the main website page and it would be over the 30 days in the t and c's. Im sure it will be here before then I just hope it's right when it gets here and I don't have to send it straight back.

Did you go for windows 7 or 8? What games you looking forward to or pre ordered? You A Shooter and Strategy kind of gamer?

I'm thinking about getting the new Tomb Raider when it comes out. I thought there was a new Command & Conquer coming out too but not heard anything about it.

Went for Windows 8 Pro and into FPS games but looking to try other, got Metro 2033 waiting at home to try.

May try some of these strategy games, used to play one years ago but can not remember the name. Used to build a base and send out troops to explore the area or something like that, any ideas???

Could be Command and Conquer you can pick it up for about a £10 now i think, there pretty old but there's probably better games than that now, everyone goes on about star craft 2 but again not something that i've looked into.

Starcraft / Starcraft 2 are both excellent games - you can get the entire CnC collection now on Origin I believe for a reasonable price

Vortex III has arrived and all good, much better than I thought it was going to be with having metal palm rest and lid.

Super quick boot and shut down and glad I went for windows 8. I have installed power shell to get the start button back and 1st impressions are good, the metro tiles are not to bad and have some good apps.

Next step is down load my steam games (counterstrike) and install Metro 2033 and give it a test run.

Went to building stage today yay!! 14 working days so far! Here's a silly question. If i have ordered monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset and the like, will they have already prepared them? or could i be looking at another hold up if any are out of stock?
