Hi there,
I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place as my PC is the PowerGlide Extreme (http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/PowerGlide-Extreme-AIO-PC/) but I will have to explain to whole situation:
On Monday, my PC randomly froze and shut down whilst playing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim; I found this odd as my PC spec is very advanced and can play very demanding games (although I do feel that Skyrim is a demanding game, I'm saying that I can play games which are more advanced, such as Farcry 3). Whenever I started up my PC, a message displayed stating "media cable failure", so I saw a post on this forum about the issue and tried to resolve it, but I had no luck. I called up a technician and he told me that my hard drive had most likely blown, so a new one was dispatched.
This morning, my new hard drive arrived (the same exact make and model). I carefully opened the PC, took out the old hard drive and inserted the new one perfectly (well, I hope). Things were going well until I realised that when I turned off my PC, the blue monitor light would stay on, which I found very odd. Shortly after I discovered this, I turned my PC back on and installed a few games and such; when suddenly, the PC turned off. As it turned back on, it only last about twenty seconds before it turned off again, then repeated, again, and again, and again.
I was very frustrated as this had been the second problem in one week regarding my PC (even though I have a feeling it probably was to do with the new hard drive or something), I called a technician and he told me that my power supply might be over-heating, but I checked the levels and they are perfectly.
I need some advice ASAP, please! It seems that when I leave my PC off for longer, it stays on longer when I turn it on. And why is the blue light staying on when it's meant to be off? My dad has the same exactly PC and his stays off; before this whole incident, my light would always be off.
Please help me,
Thanks,
Josh
