You will need PCS employees to confirm my suspicions but, I thought CAD design was GPU intensive which would make the GT220 GPU not so good a choice,

other than that, CPU is spot on as is the RAM, i'd upgrade that Warranty to silver for £5 extra., also i'd go for teh 1TB hard disk, WD10EARS, as it has a 64mb cache and double storage, for a VERY small price increase, try it on the website and you'll see what I mean, its only a few more pounds.

Price: £629.00 including VAT and delivery.

This is a well balanced PC and the GTS250 will be better at coping with CAD programs than the GT220.

thanks for the feedback and recommendations, been reading up and speaking to people about ati and nvidia graphics cards, everyone seems to say one or the other, which would be better brand to use for cad programs?

would you recommend 1 harddrive (say 1TB) or 2 (500GB)

Like Gorman said, Quadro for your CAD rendering if you can bump your budget its well worth it.

Though a good Quadro spec will hit around 900-1100 excluding monitors.
