ok next then thanks for this advice guys

is the i7 3770 processor far better than the i5 3570 for gaming and general usage but not heavy photo type programs?

also back to ram what benefit would i get from 1333mhz to 1600mhz and then 1866mhz?

The i5 would be fine for gaming mate, :) unless you have a big budget and specifically want a i7.

Saying that if you wanted to overclock it would be better going for a K version of either, which can benefit some very intensive games, such as the total wars, probably the new metro 2033. But the majority of games dont at all require a OC. So you will be fine with a i7 or i5.

for ram, I tend to suggest the kingston 1600mhz ram, its not really much different than samsung, a tad faster (but as default will be set to 1333mhz, so you have to manually change this) It does thou, come in a nice blue that matches most Asus intel mobos. :) (but not ROG as they are red)

1866mhz is only really needed when overclocking, you dont need to go this far, and you certainly dont need to go for 2133mhz.

I'd suggest going for a single gtx 670, offers very close performance to the gtx 680 and it is cheaper. If you have a 60hz and you are getting above 60fps I don't think you will be able to see any difference. A SLI set up will be more beneficial if you are planning to game in more than 1 monitor or 3d gaming.

i would be getting the monitor as well from pcs ruben ideally at 18" as space is a premium.....

The 18" monitor offered by PCS has a native resolution of 1366x768. A single or SLI gtx 670 will probably be overkill for that resolution. I'd suggest going for a monitor with a resolution 1920x1080.

could you recommend me a monitor say at most up to 23" but it would be better around 20" with good resolution

It may seem I am biased due to me being an existing customer but I would choose PCS, I have built a similar setup on Scan and it costs more, the support from PCS is great as I have spoke to them over the phone, my PC I have now is great and never let me down, they build their PC's faster and you can even change parts during the process, I can't think of any other site comparable to PCS.

That is up to you, personally I would stick with 7 as I do t see a use for a lot of the new features. You might like it though!

I think most people would agree its not essential to have a SSD just a 'nice to have'. If you have a SSD Windows will boot up faster as will other programs that you load onto the SSD. Saying that however, they are expensive bits of kit and the increased boot times isn't phenomenal if you compare it against a WD Caviar Black for instance. If you have the funds to add a SSD to your build then it will be a good addition (assuming you're still going to have a larger secondary drive for most of your data etc.) but it is by no means essential.

Nice build, you could consider this though,if overclocking, upgrade to the K version of the CPU and if not planning on overclocking downgrade the CPU cooler to to the super quiet triple copper heatpipe.I would also downgrade the ram to 1600MHz,but your choice.

if i do that though will it mean i need to upgrade the cooler and ram if i add a 2nd similar graphics card?

You could downgrade the cooler and ram if not overclocking, regardless of whether you add another graphics card or not.
